    Fordham University Gabelli School of Business Delegation Visit the Business School of Soochow University

    On the afternoon of 15 October, Francis Petit, Associate Dean of the Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University, and Chris Gao, Director of the Greater China Region, visited the Business School of Soochow University. Tao Xu, Vice Dean of the Business School, met with the guests in the Finance and Economics Hall in the East Campus. Xiaohui Huang, Vice Dean of the Business Schoo, and Yi Shen, Assistant Dean of the Business School, attended the meeting together.

    On behalf of the Business School, Tao Xu welcomed the delegation from Fordham Gabelli School of Business and briefly introduced the overview of Suzhou city. He then focused on the mission and vision, the development focus and future planning of the Business School of Soochow University. Xiaohui Huang made a supplementary presentation on the student education aspect of the Business School, focusing on the enrolment, employment and further study of undergraduate students in the School.

    Francis Petit expressed his gratitude for the warm reception of the Business School and briefly introduced the Fordham Gabelli School of Business. He said that Fordham University and Soochow University signed a memorandum of cooperation this year, and various kinds of cooperation projects will be carried out in the next step. It is hoped that through this meeting, the two business schools will reach a concrete cooperation intention with the goal of mutual benefit and win-win situation, and formally carry out all kinds of cooperation in the near future.

    During the friendly conversation, the two sides reached an intention to cooperate on academic programs at undergraduate and master's level, and expressed their willingness to have in-depth exchanges in academic research.

    Afterwards, Francis Petit gave a presentation on the Master's degree programme to some undergraduate students of the Business School of Soochow University, encouraging them to go abroad to further their studies and expand their horizons.
